Sherwin Chen, MS, JD

Sherwin Chen is our Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary at Bitterroot Bio. He brings more than 20 years of experience counseling and scaling high growth companies in the life sciences, healthcare, and digital health industries, including advising on complex partnerships; research, clinical, and commercial activities; and corporate transactions in financings, M&A, and IPO’s. Sherwin was most recently Chief Legal Officer at AllStripes Research, a rare disease company, and General Counsel at Color Health, a population health company offering cancer, cardiovascular, and pharmacogenomic testing. He also led legal teams at Roche and FibroGen. Sherwin has partnered with multiple high performing, mission driven organizations to successfully bring innovative therapies, testing, and other services to the market.

Sherwin holds a BS in Biological Sciences from Stanford University, and a MS in Science and Technology Studies from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He received his JD from UC Law San Francisco (formerly UC Hastings), and practiced at the international law firms of Cooley LLP and DLA Piper LLP.
