Chief People Officer

Georgette Verdin is the Chief People Officer at Bitterroot Bio. She brings to the company extensive experience in organizational leadership and talent development across a variety of industries. In the pharmaceutical and in the biotechnology sector, Georgette was Vice President of Global Corporate Human Resources at Biogen. She served as Global Executive Director, People and Organization at Novartis where she led programs to build scientific teams at the Novartis Institutes of Biomedical Research. Georgette was Chief Human Resources Officer for AVROBIO working side by side with the leadership team in growing the company, and later the Chief People Officer for Mariana Oncology. She has strong track record working closely with business leaders to scale and evolve organizations serving as a culture architect and talent leader connecting strategy, talent and results. She is deeply committed to developing dynamic and productive workplace and to fostering global community and professional mentorship.

Georgette received a BA in History from Georgetown University, and an MA in International Relations from the American University School of International Service.
